Job Title: E-commerce Simulation Expert Job Type: Contractor Location: Remote Job Summary: Join our customer's team as an E-commerce Simulation Expert and help shape the next generation of AI-powered shopping experiences. In this expert-level AI trainer position, you’ll leverage your deep e-commerce knowledge to create high-fidelity virtual retail environments and train advanced language models. Your work will directly impact how AI understands, simulates, and responds to nuanced consumer shopping behaviors. Key Responsibilities: Design and build synthetic, digital stores with realistic product assortments, pricing, and category structures. Generate, structure, and maintain comprehensive product catalogs, ensuring data quality, logical consistency, and real-world complexity. Develop diverse, authentic shopping scenarios and user prompts, simulating varied consumer intents, preferences, and challenging edge cases. Create evaluation rubrics and conduct rigorous QA to assess AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and reasoning. Continuously analyze model performance, identify failure patterns, and refine data and scenarios for iterative improvement. Collaborate with AI and data science teams to translate e-commerce expertise into actionable training datasets and insights. Document processes, share findings, and help drive best practices in simulation-based AI training. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce operations, merchandising, or catalog management. Proven expertise in product catalog structuring, data normalization, and content creation for online stores. Experience with AI/LLM prompting, evaluation, or training is highly valued. Strong analytical thinking and a rigorous QA mindset; detail-oriented approach to scenario and data generation. Demonstrated understanding of consumer behavior and online shopping journeys. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively. Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality, scalable datasets for AI model training. Preferred Qualifications: Past experience training AI models or working in simulation/data design roles. Knowledge of emerging trends in e-commerce, retail analytics, or digital merchandising. Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks and iterative data improvement methodologies.
