What to Expect

Economics evaluation tasks assess AI economic reasoning across microeconomics, macroeconomics, behavioral economics, and economic history. You'll evaluate whether AI applies supply-and-demand analysis correctly to market scenarios, whether macroeconomic policy analyses correctly identify transmission mechanisms, and whether AI descriptions of economic research accurately represent findings and their limitations. Tasks frequently test whether AI correctly distinguishes between positive and normative economic claims. Behavioral economics tasks assess whether AI correctly applies concepts like loss aversion, present bias, and nudge theory to policy design. AI economics outputs often sound technically fluent but make subtle errors in equilibrium analysis or mischaracterize empirical consensus on contested questions. PhD or strong Master's-level economics training is the standard background for advanced tasks.
