AI labs pay for people who can read, write, and reason clearly, not a finished degree, which is why AI training jobs for students are easier to qualify for than most part-time work. These remote roles pay per task or per hour, run entirely on your own schedule, and fit around a class timetable in a way a shift job can't, which is what makes this work student-friendly for college students juggling a course load. Most listings require no prior experience and no degree, just a laptop and a few open hours a week. See the full guide to AI training jobs without a degree for how to get started.

Mercor posts the most roles open to students, with Mindrift, Meridial, Turing and Innodata behind it. None of them ask for a degree on their generalist listings, and the filter above shows which platforms have open roles today. Each platform's review on this site covers eligibility and payout.
Yes. Generalist listings screen you with a qualification assessment, not a resume, so a student with no work history qualifies on the same terms as anyone else. Language roles ask only for native fluency and a short test. Expert roles in law, medicine and finance are the exception; they need the credential.
Handshake AI runs a fellowship aimed at university students and recent graduates, for US-based applicants with work authorization. Our Handshake AI review covers eligibility, the stated pay range and what the pending misclassification suit alleges, so read it before you apply.
Most listings on this page are open worldwide; the ones that name a country say so in their requirements. The main gate for international students is work authorization: F-1 students in the US, for example, need CPT or OPT before taking paid contract work. Check your visa terms before you sign a contract.
Pay follows the task more than the platform. Generalist rating and annotation sit at the bottom of this page's range, language and transcription roles in the middle, and anything that needs a credential at the top. The pay block above shows today's spread, and each listing states its own rate.
These are real independent contractor roles, not employment, and every platform on this page has its own review on this site covering legitimacy, payout history and known complaints. You are paid per task or per hour as a contractor, so treat pay and tax reporting accordingly, and never pay a fee to start.
This page is showing 378 listings, sourced from 16 platforms: Mindrift (131), Mercor (69), Claru (58), Turing (29) and Terac (17). The most recent one was picked up today. The count moves as platforms post and close roles, so treat it as a snapshot of today rather than a fixed figure.
Most sit between $30 and $90 an hour, with a median of $60, measured across the 341 listings on this page that quote an hourly rate. The highest rate currently posted here is $400 an hour. These are the figures the platforms published, not our estimates, and the rate you are offered depends on how you do in that platform's assessment.
