Job Title: Laotian Language Expert Job Type: Contractor Location: Remote Job Summary: Join our customer’s team as a Laotian Language Expert and play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge AI language models. You will leverage your linguistic expertise and cultural insights to translate, edit, and refine Laotian language data, contributing to the advancement of language technology and AI training initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Translate a wide range of texts from English to Laotian and vice versa, ensuring contextual and cultural accuracy. Edit and proofread Laotian language data for clarity, style, and correctness. Contribute to the annotation, evaluation, and validation of linguistic datasets for AI training purposes. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other linguists to develop language resources and guidelines. Provide expert linguistic feedback to enhance natural language processing (NLP) applications. Support quality assurance processes by reviewing AI-generated content in Laotian. Stay current with language trends, usage, and regional variations in Laotian. Required Skills and Qualifications: Native or near-native proficiency in Laotian, with excellent command of English. Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistic roles involving the Laotian language. Strong written communication and attention to detail. Familiarity with linguistic annotation and language data analysis tools. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting. In-depth understanding of Laotian language nuances, cultural context, and orthographic standards. Passion for language technology and AI-driven solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience training or evaluating AI or NLP models in Laotian. Background in computational linguistics, language teaching, or related fields. Knowledge of additional regional languages or dialects.
