About this Role

Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as a Personal Banker / Financial Solutions Advisor and use your front-line service experience to help design the next generation of everyday personal finance planning. You’ll work asynchronously with a leading AI lab, reviewing realistic client scenarios and providing detailed feedback so that AI systems can better support financial services professionals and average households with guidance on day-to-day banking, budgeting, debt management, and basic investing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review scenarios that mirror real branch conversations (expense budgeting, mortgage and retirement planning, building savings, investing, etc.) for a wide range of clients and describe how you would advise them. • Evaluate AI-generated guidance for suitability, clarity, and practicality for typical mass-market and mid-market customers. • Document the questions, conversation flow, and decision rules you use in-branch (e.g., when to recommend specific solutions vs. refer to a specialist). • Provide written feedback on how to improve explanations, next steps, and tradeoff framing for non-expert clients. • Highlight compliance and risk considerations and clearly define when you would avoid giving advice or escalate to another team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience in roles such as Personal Banker, Relationship Banker, Universal/Branch Banker, or Financial Solutions Advisor at a major bank or credit union (e.g., Bank of America / Merrill, Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi, PNC, Truist, regional banks). • Proven track record conducting needs-based financial conversations and matching everyday clients to appropriate banking and basic investment solutions. • Strong familiarity with core consumer products: checking and savings accounts, CDs, debit/credit cards, overdraft policies, personal/auto loans, basic retirement/investment accounts, and digital banking tools. • Experience helping clients with budgeting, expense management, debt payoff strategies, and building emergency savings. • Strong personal financial planning experience for a wide range of clients. • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts in clear, empathetic, plain language. • High integrity, strong compliance mindset, and strict commitment to client confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Financial Solutions Advisor role or similar bridge role between retail banking and investments. • Relevant licenses or certifications (e.g., Series 6/7/63/65/66, insurance licenses, CFP), active or previously held. • Experience coaching or mentoring other bankers on sales conversations, financial checkups, or financial wellness programs. • Familiarity with personal finance apps, digital advice journeys, or customer experience / process design work.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in Remote
  • Fluent proficiency in English (Written & Verbal)
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the others?

Global Access. Micro1 is more open to international applicants (outside the US/UK) than DataAnnotation or Outlier.

What is the catch?

Privacy. Micro1 projects often require you to install time-tracking software that takes screenshots of your desktop while you work to ensure you are actually working. If you are uncomfortable with monitoring software, this might not be for you.

Is this traditional consulting?

Not exactly. You act as a "Teacher" for advanced AI. Instead of client deliverables, you are given complex scenarios to evaluate. You grade the AI's logic, correct its hallucinations, and provide expert-level reasoning. Your job is to train the model to think like you do.

Why is the pay so high?

This role requires deep, verified expertise. General knowledge isn't enough; the model is specifically being trained on "edge cases"—the rare, difficult, or highly technical nuances that only a senior professional would know.

What is the workload like?

This is cognitive, deep work. Unlike simple data labeling, you might spend 45-60 minutes on a single task, researching citations or verifying complex calculations. Quality is prioritized over speed.

What is the interview like?

You will likely be screened by "Zara", an AI recruiter. Treat this like a real video interview—speak clearly, ensure you have good lighting, and be ready to answer technical questions verbally, as the transcript is reviewed by human managers.
