The Role
You own the delivery of secure, agentic AI systems in highly regulated environments, from problem definition through production. This is a builder role focused on shipping real systems under real constraints: security, compliance, and ambiguity.
What You Do
Own projects end to end: scope, build, deploy, operate. Act as the primary technical interface with external stakeholders. Build agentic AI systems (RAG, prompt engineering, tool use, multi-agent orchestration via LangGraph / LangChain). Work across enterprise-grade AI platforms (Anthropic Enterprise, OpenAI Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, Grok Enterprise). Operate in secure cloud environments (AWS GovCloud-equivalent, Azure IL5+-equivalent, Google secure cloud, Vertex AI, Bedrock). Design data ontologies, metadata catalogs, ETL pipelines, MCP integrations, and APIs. Write production Python, REST APIs, CI/CD, and secure-by-design code. Identify system gaps and failure modes and fix them quickly.
What We Look For
Experience delivering regulated or compliance-heavy contracts; prior work in clearance-restricted environments strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with agentic AI and RAG systems. Strong foundation in Python, APIs, data pipelines, and secure systems. Comfortable operating in high-stakes, regulated environments. Strong communicator with senior stakeholders. Builder mindset: proven experience building from zero under constraint. Bias toward ownership, speed, and delivery.
Compensation & Benefits Notice
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000–$230,000 USD. micro1 seeks to engage exceptional talent regardless of location and offers generous compensation packages to all employees. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. micro1 provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.

What is the catch?
Privacy. Micro1 projects often require you to install time-tracking software that takes screenshots of your desktop while you work to ensure you are actually working. If you are uncomfortable with monitoring software, this might not be for you.
What does the work actually look like?
It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.
How flexible is the schedule?
Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.
Is there an interview?
Usually, no. Hiring for these roles is almost entirely based on passing an automated assessment or "qualification" task. If you pass the test, you get access to the work.
