Job Summary
Join our customer's team as a Tax Review & Filing Analyst and become a pivotal part of maintaining tax compliance and filing excellence. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in U.S. tax laws and compliance standards to review, prepare, and ensure the accuracy of tax submissions, directly impacting the quality and reliability of our tax processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and validate tax forms and associated documentation for timely submission. Ensure all filings adhere to federal and state tax compliance standards and are fully supported by accurate data. Analyze financial records and tax data to verify completeness and identify inconsistencies. Flag and escalate discrepancies, missing details, or compliance concerns to the appropriate stakeholders. Support team quality control efforts by reviewing and mentoring less experienced colleagues. Communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective measures clearly in both written and verbal forms. Stay current with evolving tax regulations, filing requirements, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Active tax certification and proven experience in U.S. tax preparation and filing. Strong expertise in reviewing and quality checking tax returns and documentation. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and clarity. Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance standards. Demonstrated experience working with structured financial data and tax software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tax review, operations, or filing quality control within a team environment. Previous responsibility for reviewing junior team members’ work or providing mentorship. Familiarity with tax technology platforms and digital workflow tools.
