About this Role
Job Summary
Join our customer’s team as a Calibration Technologist or Technician, where your expertise will ensure the accuracy and reliability of critical measurement devices across various industries. You’ll leverage your in-depth knowledge of measurement science, electronics, and preventive maintenance to deliver high-quality calibration services, often collaborating closely with engineering staff. Key Responsibilities
Execute and adapt calibration procedures and techniques to ensure the optimal performance of measurement equipment. Apply advanced knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and electronics in daily operations. Assess the suitability of measurement standards and reference materials for calibrating diverse devices. Document calibration processes and results with exceptional written communication skills, ensuring transparency and compliance. Conduct preventive maintenance and inspection of equipment, identifying and performing necessary corrective actions. Collaborate with engineering staff to address complex calibration challenges and support process improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve calibration issues, maintaining meticulous records of findings and solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in calibration, testing, or a related technical field. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work. Strong background in measurement science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and electronics. Proficiency in preventive maintenance, inspection, and equipment assembly. Demonstrated dependability and cautiousness in handling sensitive measurement instruments. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly document and convey technical information. Experience executing or modifying calibration procedures independently and under direction from engineering staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in metrology or calibration (e.g., ASQ, NIST, or equivalent). Experience with remote calibration services or support across multiple locations. Familiarity with a wide range of calibration standards and regulatory guidelines.
