What You'll Do

• Listen and Evaluate: Assess AI-generated audio samples for phonetic accuracy, naturalness, and adherence to authentic Castilian Spanish patterns
• Transcribe and Annotate: Label diverse audio samples with precision, capturing the distinct sounds and structures of Peninsular Spanish
• Catch Model Errors: Identify and flag hallucinations, phonetic mistakes, or Latin American dialect bias that slips into model outputs
• Analyze Prosody and Acoustics: Evaluate model performance on cadence, the apical "s," and the overall rhythm of European Spanish speech
• Provide Expert Feedback: Write clear, structured English justifications explaining why audio outputs meet or fall short of Castilian standards
• Ensure Cultural Authenticity: Validate that AI outputs reflect genuine, lived Castilian Spanish — from modern slang to formal registers

Who You Are

• Native or heritage Castilian Spanish speaker with deep, intuitive command of Peninsular Spanish as spoken in Spain
• Phonetically attuned — you can instantly recognize distinción (the "th" sound for z and ce/ci), vosotros usage, and leísmo/laísmo patterns
• Detail-oriented and analytical — you notice what others miss and can articulate why something sounds off
• Strong English writer — able to produce clear, professional technical feedback in English
• Comfortable with technology — familiar with audio tools, data annotation platforms, or willing to learn quickly

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, translation, or language instruction
• Experience with audio editing or transcription tools
