Nexus is building the context layer that agents work on top of — a versioned, permissioned, searchable file system where every piece of your team's work compounds into intelligence that any agent can read from and write to.
We're looking for ex-MBB managers, engagement managers, and senior consultants who have built and refined repeatable consulting frameworks — market sizing models, competitive teardowns, commercial due diligence playbooks, org design templates — and want to turn them into reusable, agent-native workflows on Nexus.
What you'll do
Work directly with the Nexus product team to translate your best consulting frameworks into structured workflows that agents can execute
Define the inputs, logic, and outputs of each framework so they can run autonomously on Nexus's open file system protocol
Stress-test agent-generated outputs against your expert judgment and iterate on quality
Help shape how consulting-grade intellectual property gets packaged for an AI-native world
Engagement format
Ideally ~5 hours per day for 2–3 weeks, though this is flexible and can be adapted to your schedule

What we're looking for
3+ years at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent tier-1 consulting firm, at Manager / Engagement Manager level or above
Hands-on experience building or owning at least one structured framework (e.g., market sizing, competitive benchmarking, commercial due diligence, organizational diagnostics)
Strong opinions on what makes a framework actually reusable vs. a one-off deliverable
Comfort working with early-stage product teams and iterating quickly
Curiosity about AI agents and how consulting workflows can be automated

Do I need to constantly apply for projects?
No. Once your profile is live, Ethos's AI automatically matches you to inbound opportunities based on your career history. Companies find you — you don't hunt for listings. Your Expert Score rises with each completed engagement, which unlocks higher-value inbound over time. Ethos already works with 25+ private equity firms, hedge funds, and consultancies, so deal flow is real.
When and how do I get paid?
Payment is processed within 30 days of submitting your invoice after a project closes. This net-30 schedule is standard for enterprise expert networks but slower than weekly-paying AI platforms. Plan your cash flow accordingly — this is not a 'get paid Friday' setup.
Is this traditional consulting?
Not exactly. You act as a "Teacher" for advanced AI. Instead of client deliverables, you are given complex scenarios to evaluate. You grade the AI's logic, correct its hallucinations, and provide expert-level reasoning. Your job is to train the model to think like you do.
Why is the pay so high?
This role requires deep, verified expertise. General knowledge isn't enough; the model is specifically being trained on "edge cases"—the rare, difficult, or highly technical nuances that only a senior professional would know.
What is the workload like?
This is cognitive, deep work. Unlike simple data labeling, you might spend 45-60 minutes on a single task, researching citations or verifying complex calculations. Quality is prioritized over speed.
