In this role, you'll craft lightweight, high-performance 2D games using Lua scripting and a component-based workflow. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy 2D games using the Defold engine, focusing on optimal performance and minimal build sizes. Implement robust gameplay mechanics and systems utilizing Lua scripting in a modular architecture. Collaborate closely with designers and artists to iterate rapidly on game prototypes and refine user experience. Optimize games for smooth performance across a variety of mobile and web platforms. Maintain efficient, well-documented code and adhere to best practices in game development. Debug, profile, and resolve performance issues to ensure stable game releases. Contribute creative solutions to technical challenges and provide input on gameplay and UI enhancements. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience developing and shipping 2D games using the Defold engine. Proficiency in Lua scripting and understanding of component-based game architectures. Strong track record in producing lightweight, performance-optimized builds for mobile and web. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
