Job Summary
Join our customer's team as a Norwegian Language Expert and play a pivotal role in ensuring linguistic excellence across a variety of deliverables. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your deep knowledge of Norwegian to a dynamic, collaborative remote environment. We seek a professional who is passionate about language and excels in both written and verbal communication.
Key Responsibilities
Review, proofread, and edit content to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and clarity in Norwegian. Translate documents and communications from English to Norwegian and vice versa with a focus on nuance and context. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Norwegian content for diverse projects. Advise on Norwegian language usage, tone, and style to align with project objectives and brand voice. Conduct linguistic quality assurance and maintain consistency across all communication channels. Assist in the creation and localization of Norwegian language resources, glossaries, and style guides. Support customer engagement by responding to Norwegian-language inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Norwegian, with impeccable grammar and spelling. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English. Proven experience in translation, localization, editing, or a related linguistic field. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under tight deadlines. Proficient in using digital communication and collaboration tools in a remote setting. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, international team. Enthusiastic commitment to delivering culturally tailored and impactful Norwegian-language solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field. Experience supporting global brands or multilingual content projects. Familiarity with CAT tools or language technology platforms.
