About this Role
Job Summary
Are you passionate about safeguarding digital environments? Join our customer's team as a Security Engineer and play a key role in fortifying IT security and user support operations. You'll leverage your expertise in access control, identity management, and security best practices to protect systems and data while enabling seamless remote support.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage password tools, with a strong focus on 1Password, to ensure secure and efficient credential storage. Oversee access control and maintain user permission policies across platforms such as Google Workspace and Slack. Support identity management processes using Okta or equivalent identity providers. Deliver high-quality IT support, troubleshooting incidents, and resolving security-related user issues remotely. Implement and uphold cybersecurity best practices, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and industry standards. Work collaboratively with team members to identify, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities or security threats. Provide clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, when documenting incidents or guiding users through solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in security engineering, IT support, or systems administration roles. Proven expertise with 1Password and similar password management tools. Strong familiarity with identity providers (Okta) and workplace collaboration solutions (Google Workspace, Slack). Exceptional troubleshooting skills in remote IT support settings. Solid understanding of modern cybersecurity principles and security best practices. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on clear, empathetic support.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing security workflows for distributed or remote teams. Certifications in cybersecurity or IT administration (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CompTIA).
