About this Role
Job Summary
Join our customer’s team as a Tagalog Language Expert and play a critical role in facilitating clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive communication. In this part-time remote role, you will leverage your deep understanding of Tagalog language and culture to support diverse projects, ensuring linguistic quality and consistency across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Translate, localize, and review Tagalog content to maintain accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance. Collaborate with project managers and other language experts to ensure project requirements are met within deadlines. Evaluate and edit written materials to ensure clarity, correctness, and adherence to style guidelines. Provide expert advice on Tagalog language usage, including idiomatic expressions and regional nuances. Assist in developing and maintaining language resources, glossaries, and style guides. Conduct linguistic quality assurance and participate in feedback cycles for continuous improvement. Support both written and verbal communications, ensuring high standards of professionalism and care in every interaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Tagalog with excellent command of English. Proven experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple tasks. In-depth knowledge of Tagalog grammar, orthography, and stylistic conventions. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and project management platforms. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, quality-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field. Experience supporting international teams or projects in a remote environment. Previous involvement in content development or language technology initiatives.
