Frequently Asked Questions

Is this different from platforms like Outlier or Mindrift?

Yes. Rex (rex.zone) focuses on cognition-heavy AI work — reasoning evaluation, prompt design, domain-specific content generation, and model benchmarking. Unlike high-volume microtask marketplaces where you click through hundreds of simple tasks, Rex prioritizes fewer, deeper tasks. The stated goal is above-industry-average rates ($25–$45/hr) in exchange for expert-level output.

What is a Superhuman Profile?

Rex uses a 'Superhuman Profile' system that tracks your reliability, consistency, and task quality over time. A stronger profile unlocks higher-paying tracks and priority access to premium projects like Project EVA (in partnership with 2077AI). It functions as your reputation score — treat every task as if it affects your standing, because it does.

What types of tasks will I actually do?

Task types include: RLHF and instruction-tuning dataset creation, LLM prompt and response evaluation, named entity recognition for NLP, computer vision annotation, content safety labeling, speech-to-text transcription, and red-teaming and safety evaluations. Projects vary — your assignment depends on your skills and profile tier.

What does the work actually look like?

It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.

How flexible is the schedule?

Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.

Is there an interview?

Usually, no. Hiring for these roles is almost entirely based on passing an automated assessment or "qualification" task. If you pass the test, you get access to the work.

Who is behind Remo Experts (Rex)?

Rex is the contractor brand of Remo, a remote work infrastructure company. They act as the employer of record for AI training contracts on behalf of large AI labs and data companies. Your contract is formally with Remo, not the end client.
