Frequently Asked Questions
What credentials do I actually need?
It depends on the project. Legal roles require verifiable bar admission or equivalent; finance roles look for CFA, CPA, or senior-level professional experience; healthcare roles require clinical licensure. Software and tech projects are more flexible, but expect to demonstrate real professional experience. The selection assessment is the real gate: if you pass it, a formal credential is usually secondary.
How does per-task pay compare to a real hourly rate?
Each opportunity lists a task price and an estimated completion time, which works out to roughly USD 30–100/hr equivalent. That estimate is based on an average worker. If you work faster, your effective rate goes up; if a task takes longer than estimated (because the content is complex), your rate drops. Track your actual time on your first few tasks before committing to a full project.
What is the selection assessment like?
Each opportunity has its own assessment designed to mirror the actual work. Expect domain-specific tasks: legal reasoning for law roles, financial analysis for finance, code review for engineering. There is no published pass rate. A failed assessment on one project does not block you from applying to others, so if you are rejected, browse the other open opportunities and try where your strongest credentials lie.
What does the work actually look like?
It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.
How flexible is the schedule?
Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.
Is there an interview?
Usually, no. Hiring for these roles is almost entirely based on passing an automated assessment or "qualification" task. If you pass the test, you get access to the work.
