What to Expect

Voice acting roles involve recording audio passages in a controlled environment—quiet room, decent microphone, and audio recording software (Audacity is free and sufficient). Tasks specify the character, emotion, pacing, and accent required. You'll record multiple takes for each prompt, sometimes in the same session with different emotional registers (professional, conversational, authoritative, warm). Sessions typically last 60–90 minutes. Some roles focus on specific dialects or accents for AI voice synthesis training; others involve narrating instructional content. Platforms often provide line-by-line scripts. Quality is assessed on clarity, natural delivery, and accurate accent representation. Professional voice acting training helps but isn't always required—natural talent and good audio hygiene matter most.
