The Case for Sovrano AI

Sovrano AI offers competitive rates with $10–60/hr potential for generalists. Key strength: Rate is shown on every listing before you apply — no blind assessment. Primary user complaint: "Strict 'Zero-AI' policy on completing tasks, actively monitored — the platform states violations lead to instant bans".

The Case for Turing

Turing doesn't publish rates on its listings. Key strength: You set your expected rate on your profile. Plan on a live interview: 85% of the Turing listings we've tracked require one before you start (n=80). Contract length varies by domain: Software Engineering averages 8.4 weeks (n=28), while Business runs closer to 14.8 weeks (n=10). Most listings only need partial US-timezone overlap (n=144), so it's workable outside PST hours.

Sovrano AI

Sovrano AI grew out of CareerOS, a 2024 Barcelona student-placement startup with 100+ university partners, and now pays graduates and domain experts for AI evaluation work. Listings range from native-language evaluation roles at the low end to expert roles paid by the hour for building finished slide decks, plus some per-case specialist work. Every listing shows its rate before you apply. It has no third-party reviews yet, and its FAQ still lists the general payment schedule as unfinalized.

  • ✓ Rate is shown on every listing before you apply — no blind assessment
  • ✓ Fully asynchronous, self-scheduled hours across most roles
  • ✓ Native-language and verified domain-expert roles pay well above generalist crowd-work rates

Turing

Turing is a San Francisco company, founded in 2018, that post-trains large language models for AI labs. You set your expected rate on your profile, then take skill assessments and live interviews before a client match, and strong written English is required on every track. Turing does not publish rates, so figures on our Turing job cards are our estimate. Its help centre says contractors are paid every two weeks by bank transfer.

  • ✓ You set your expected rate on your profile
  • ✓ Remote work with US companies
  • ✓ Raised a $111M Series E at a $2.2B valuation (March 2025)
