About this role

From the Claru listing

As a Warehouse Capture contributor, you record first-person video while moving through warehouses, fulfillment centers, and inventory rooms. The data trains robotic picking systems, autonomous forklift navigation, and warehouse-management AI.

Scenes include pallet navigation, shelf scanning, package handling, and item retrieval. We work with people who already have warehouse access through their day job, plus self-employed contractors who run their own micro-fulfillment.

A typical capture session is 30–45 minutes during normal warehouse operations.

This variant is open to contributors based in the United States. Pay is $15/hour USD, fixed flat rate, paid via direct deposit (ACH) on a bi-weekly cadence. US contributors typically run two to four captures per week and complete the first paid batch within 7–10 days of approval.

Claru contractors are independent — no fixed hours, no minimum commitment. You take captures that fit your schedule and skip the ones that don't.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in United States

Common questions

What counts as a usable capture for warehouse and fulfilment work?

You film pallet navigation, shelf scanning, package handling and item retrieval, recorded first-person with a phone on a head mount. On this category a typical session is 30 to 45 minutes during normal warehouse operations. Claru records at 1080p in landscape with the camera at its widest zoom, angled slightly down so your hands stay in frame for most of the clip, and asks you to work normally without narrating or staging anything. The footage trains robotic picking, autonomous forklift navigation and warehouse-management AI.

Why does this listing pay $15/hr?

Claru prices capture work by market rather than by skill, and this variant is open to contributors in United States. The published tiers run $5/hr across its Asian markets, $6-$7 across LATAM, $10 in Canada and $15 in the United States, for the same filming spec. Applying to a higher-paying variant from outside its listed countries will not get you that rate, so apply to the one matching where you live.

What equipment do I need to start capturing?

A recent smartphone from Claru's approved list (recent iPhone, Pixel 6 or newer, Galaxy S21 or newer) or a wearable camera, a head mount that holds it at forehead or eye level, and internet good enough to upload the day you film. Claru does not supply the mount, so budget for that before applying.

Do I get paid for footage that gets rejected?

No. Claru pays per hour of accepted footage, so clips that miss the spec on framing, resolution or hand visibility do not count toward your total. Film one short clip and get it reviewed before recording several hours you might not be paid for.

Do task-based AI training roles require an interview?

Most skip a live interview entirely and gate access through an automated assessment or qualification task instead. Where we've confirmed the specific requirement for this listing, it's called out above in What We Know About This Role.

What does task-based AI training work look like?

Practical, hands-on data work: recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. Tasks are designed to be short and distinct, typically 5 to 60 minutes each.

What does Generalist work look like for a Warehouse & Fulfillment Video Capture — United States?

Tasks here are scoped to Generalist, not generic labeling. As a Warehouse & Fulfillment Video Capture — United States, expect to draw on real domain judgment (evaluating outputs, correcting errors, or providing expert reasoning specific to Generalist) rather than following a one-size-fits-all rubric. If you don't have hands-on Generalist background, this is likely not the right listing to start with.

What specific skills does this listing call for?

Data Annotation and AI Training are named directly in the listing. If you don't have hands-on experience with these, expect the screening process to test for them directly rather than accepting adjacent experience as a substitute.

How much does this specific role pay?

This listing is posted at $15/hr, an hourly rate. Pay can change between when we last checked the listing and when you apply, so confirm the current number on the platform's own application page before committing time.

What happens when I click Apply on this listing?

You'll be taken to Claru's external site to complete your application there. This listing links through a referral, but the process is identical to applying directly; the link just routes you correctly. Create an account on their site and follow their onboarding steps.

Can I apply from outside the United States?

This specific role is open only to people based in the United States. If you are somewhere else, applying is unlikely to lead to an offer even if you pass the assessment, because the restriction is usually about where the work can legally be contracted rather than your skills. Read the full description for any tax-residency or right-to-work caveats before you apply.

Who is behind Claru?

Claru is the contributor-facing brand of Reka AI, which collects human data for frontier AI labs across text, vision, video and robotics. Its board splits into regional video capture work and desk-based annotation and evaluation, and the apply link on this page is an affiliate link that does not change your pay or what you are offered.
