We're working with a leading AI company to find experienced UX/UI designers and visual artists who can help shape the user experience of a generative AI platform.
We're looking for designers with 4+ years of experience across product design, visual art direction, and UI systems, with a strong portfolio that spans both functional interface design and expressive visual storytelling. You understand how to translate complex AI capabilities into interfaces that feel intuitive and inspiring to end users.
You'll contribute across core design workflows: UX research synthesis, wireframing and prototyping, visual identity and design system development, AI interaction patterns, and design critique and evaluation.
Compensation: $75/hour
Commitment: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week (up to $1,500/week)
Location: Fully remote — work on your own schedule
Qualifications:
Senior UX/UI Designer or Visual Artist with 4+ years of product design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating both UI precision and visual creativity
Experience designing for or evaluating AI-driven products a plus

Is this normal AI training work?
No. Ethos is an expert network — not a task queue. You won't be rating chatbot responses. AI labs, investment funds, and Fortune 500s pay to access your specific domain knowledge: deal analysis, clinical reasoning, legal logic, financial modeling. Work takes three forms: paid consulting engagements (multi-week), 30–60 minute advisory calls, and targeted research surveys.
Do I need to constantly apply for projects?
No. Once your profile is live, Ethos's AI automatically matches you to inbound opportunities based on your career history. Companies find you — you don't hunt for listings. Your Expert Score rises with each completed engagement, which unlocks higher-value inbound over time. Ethos already works with 25+ private equity firms, hedge funds, and consultancies, so deal flow is real.
When and how do I get paid?
Payment is processed within 30 days of submitting your invoice after a project closes. This net-30 schedule is standard for enterprise expert networks but slower than weekly-paying AI platforms. Plan your cash flow accordingly — this is not a 'get paid Friday' setup.
What does the work actually look like?
It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.
How flexible is the schedule?
Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.
Is there an interview?
