What to Expect

History evaluation tasks ask you to assess AI historical reasoning for factual accuracy, appropriate use of historical context, and the quality of causal analysis. You'll fact-check specific claims (dates, figures, events), evaluate whether AI correctly situates events within their broader historical context, and assess whether causal explanations are historically defensible or anachronistic. AI frequently commits the error of applying contemporary values and frameworks to historical actors without qualification—your job is to identify and correct that. Tasks span ancient, medieval, early modern, and contemporary history across global regions. Historiography knowledge—understanding that historical interpretation is contested and evolving—is valuable. Advanced degree in history or deep independent scholarly engagement with historical literature is the typical background.
