Job Title: Amharic Language Expert Job Type: Contractor Location: Remote Job Summary: Join our customer's team as an Amharic Language Expert, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping high-quality language content and supporting AI development. This unique position will leverage your skills in translation, dubbing, and linguistic analysis to train and enhance innovative language technologies. Key Responsibilities: Translate, localize, and adapt content between Amharic and English to maintain accuracy and cultural relevance. Edit and proofread written materials for linguistic clarity, grammatical correctness, and style consistency. Perform dubbing and voice-over tasks for multimedia and AI training datasets. Engineer and process audio recordings, ensuring superior sound quality and format compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to train AI models for natural language processing and understanding in Amharic. Apply linguistic expertise to annotate, evaluate, and refine language data for machine learning. Provide subject-matter insights to optimize workflows and address linguistic challenges. Required Skills and Qualifications: Native or near-native proficiency in Amharic with excellent command of English. Demonstrated experience in translating, editing, and localizing written and spoken content. Solid background in linguistics and language analysis. Proficiency with audio engineering tools for recording, editing, and processing voice content. Strong written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple projects independently in a remote environment. Experience in dubbing and voice-over work, especially for AI or multimedia applications. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working as an AI trainer or on language technology projects. Familiarity with current trends in natural language processing and machine learning. Knowledge of additional Ethiopian languages is a plus.
