Job Title: Hmong Language Expert Job Type: Contractor Location: Remote Job Summary: Join our customer's team as a Hmong Language Expert, where you'll play a critical role in advancing linguistic technology and AI training. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about language preservation, high-quality translation, and the application of Hmong language expertise to innovative AI solutions. Key Responsibilities: Translate, review, and edit content from and into Hmong with utmost linguistic accuracy. Provide expert guidance on Hmong grammar, syntax, and usage to support language-related projects. Evaluate and improve AI-generated Hmong language outputs for clarity, context, and cultural relevance. Collaborate with AI development teams to refine machine learning models for Hmong language tasks. Contribute to the development of language resources, glossaries, and style guides tailored to Hmong. Offer feedback on written and verbal communication to ensure quality and consistency in deliverables. Support data annotation and linguistic analysis specific to Hmong language nuances. Required Skills and Qualifications: Native or near-native proficiency in Hmong, with exceptional command of written and spoken forms. Strong background in editing, proofreading, and translation between Hmong and English. Demonstrated experience in linguistic analysis and applying language expertise in technical settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate in a fast-paced, remote environment. Experience working with AI, machine learning, or language data annotation is highly desirable. Passion for language preservation and innovation in technology-driven language solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field. Prior experience as an AI language trainer or similar role in technology projects. Familiarity with industry-standard linguistic tools and resources. What is the catch?
Privacy. Micro1 projects often require you to install time-tracking software that takes screenshots of your desktop while you work to ensure you are actually working. If you are uncomfortable with monitoring software, this might not be for you.
What does the work actually look like?
It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.
How flexible is the schedule?
