About this role

Role Title: Salesforce / HubSpot Administrator - Revenue Systems (SaaS)

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is engaging Salesforce / HubSpot Administrator - Revenue Systems (SaaS) experts to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on operational excellence in CRM and revenue systems. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. You'll work inside a SaaS company's revenue stack where the operational logic has drifted out of alignment: rules that contradict each other, automations still firing against policy that was retired two years ago, the same customer sitting under two different legal names, permissions that don't match what the documentation says, and grey areas. Scope of Work

  • Audit CRM and integrated revenue systems for contradictions, obsolete policies, duplicate records, and operational inconsistencies.
  • Analyze and resolve policy conflicts, deciding which business rules should take precedence and documenting clear, actionable reasoning.
  • Draft precise operational prompts outlining best practices for handling complex, real-world SaaS data scenarios.
  • Assess and reconcile underlying data to clarify the intended state across platforms and ensure consistency.
  • Document recommended changes as well as areas deliberately left unchanged, supported by sound operational judgment.
  • Evaluate and articulate the impact of proposed changes on connected tools such as billing, CPQ, ticketing, or integration platforms.
  • Contribute insights on system design, optimization, and sustainable CRM governance in a SaaS context. Preferred Qualifications
  • 4–6 years of hands-on CRM administration or implementation with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or comparable platforms.
  • Proven track record of real-world CRM build-outs, including implementations, migrations, consolidations, or rollouts led independently.
  • Extensive experience configuring fields, flows, validation rules, objects, and permission sets; certifications are appreciated but practical build experience is prioritized.
  • Working knowledge of at least two related revenue or operational systems (e.g., billing, subscription management, CPQ, ticketing, project tracking, integration middleware).
  • Comfort working in the data layer: SQL, APIs, system data models, and cross-system data reconciliation.
  • Background in SaaS environments, with a preference for regulated industries or multi-product complexity.
  • Excellent professional English communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in documenting technical reasoning and operational policy decisions.

Requirements

  • Operations
  • CRM Ownership
  • Revenue Tools Beyond the CRM
  • Operational Judgment and Policy Conflicts
  • Data Accuracy and Reporting

Why this role

The Salesforce / HubSpot Administrator role has you auditing a SaaS company's CRM and connected systems for exactly the kind of mess that accumulates over time: contradictory business rules, automations still firing against retired policy, the same customer logged under two legal names, and permissions that no longer match the documentation. It pays $35-$80 per hour for deciding which rules should win, documenting the reasoning, and tracing how a fix ripples into billing, CPQ, or ticketing tools. Micro1 is looking for four to six years of hands-on CRM administration or implementation experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or a comparable platform.

Common questions

Can I apply to Micro1 from outside the US or UK?

Yes. Micro1 accepts applicants from most countries worldwide, unlike DataAnnotation or Outlier, both of which cap access to a handful of English-speaking countries. Most roles still require strong written and spoken English.

Does Micro1 monitor your computer while you work?

On many projects, yes, through time-tracking tools that take periodic screenshots to verify active hours. Check the specific project's requirements before accepting if desktop monitoring is a dealbreaker.

What does asynchronous AI training work mean in practice?

No set hours, no check-ins, no meetings. You log in when you want, pick up an available task, complete it, and submit; nobody is waiting on you in real time. That's different from remote employment, where you're expected online during business hours. The tradeoff: you're competing with others for available tasks, so an empty queue means there's simply nothing to do until more work is released.

What does Software Engineering work look like for a Salesforce / HubSpot Administrator - Revenue Systems (SaaS)?

Tasks here are scoped to Software Engineering, not generic labeling. As a Salesforce / HubSpot Administrator - Revenue Systems (SaaS), expect to draw on real domain judgment (evaluating outputs, correcting errors, or providing expert reasoning specific to Software Engineering) rather than following a one-size-fits-all rubric. If you don't have hands-on Software Engineering background, this is likely not the right listing to start with.

What specific skills does this listing call for?

Operations, CRM Ownership, Revenue Tools Beyond the CRM, and Operational Judgment and Policy Conflicts are named directly in the listing. If you don't have hands-on experience with these, expect the screening process to test for them directly rather than accepting adjacent experience as a substitute.

What does the 'openings' count on this listing mean?

It's Micro1's live count of how many candidates it's still trying to place for this specific role, 30 right now, not a countdown on your individual application. A higher number signals more active demand; it doesn't lower the bar for acceptance.

How much does this specific role pay?

This listing is posted at $35–$80/hr, an hourly rate. The range reflects experience level and negotiated terms, not a placeholder, so where you land in it depends on your background and the assessment. Pay can change between when we last checked the listing and when you apply, so confirm the current number on the platform's own application page before committing time.

What happens when I click Apply on this listing?

You'll be taken to Micro1's external site to complete your application there. This listing links through a referral, but the process is identical to applying directly; the link just routes you correctly. Create an account on their site and follow their onboarding steps.

Do I need a Master's to qualify?

This role lists a master's degree as a requirement. In practice, the domain assessment is the real gate. If you can pass it, the degree is usually secondary. However, some platforms verify credentials formally, so list your actual qualifications accurately on your profile.
