About this Role
We are looking for an Applied Data Scientist with 4+ years of experience to own enterprise healthcare accounts end-to-end, designing predictive studies, building production ML pipelines, and turning customer data into deployed insights on Vi's platform. You'll be the data expert in the room, working directly with clinical, IT, and analytics leaders at the largest health systems and health plans in the country.
What you need
- Strong client-facing skills, able to independently run working sessions with senior healthcare stakeholders and defend your methodology to skeptical audiences
- Experience designing and running experimental studies where the result had real commercial impact
- Fluent in production Python (pandas, sklearn, Airflow), you ship code, not notebooks
- Experience building distributed data and ML pipelines on Spark/PySpark against large, messy datasets
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a lean, fast-paced environment (130 people, $150M+ revenue)
What will you be doing?
Own 3, 5 enterprise healthcare accounts end-to-end, from data integration and pilot design through production pipelines and ongoing operations
Design and defend commercially relevant experimental studies (e.g., predicting which patients need surgical intervention to enable earlier care)
Build automated per-customer pipelines using Vi's ML capabilities to train, score, and deliver insights at scale
Sit in working sessions with client analytics, clinical, and IT teams, translating business problems into data-driven solutions
Identify patterns across accounts and feed high-leverage requirements back into Vi's product roadmap
