Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) (US)

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to own end-to-end customer delivery for XDOF's most strategic accounts in the robotics and frontier AI space. You'll be the single technical owner for a portfolio of top-tier customers, including leading humanoid companies and AI unicorns, ensuring the data we ship moves their model performance. This is a founding FDE role where you'll help define the forward-deployed motion from the ground up. We need someone with a strong engineering bar who thrives in ambiguity, can solve most customer issues independently, and communicates complex technical concepts in a way that makes customers feel confident and supported. Think Palantir-style FDE: deeply technical, high agency, and excellent with customers.

What will you be doing?

• Own end-to-end data delivery for strategic customers: understand the overall data pipeline, ensure data quality, scope requirements, QA before shipping, and clear blockers independently

• Be the first technical responder for your accounts, triage customer questions and issues, resolve most problems without escalating to other engineers, and manage expectations on timelines

• Represent XDOF's technical depth to sophisticated robotics and AI customers while translating complex concepts into language that's easy to understand and builds trust

• Turn recurring customer needs and delivery pain points into concrete product and pipeline improvements, codifying what works into reusable playbooks

• Grow the forward-deployed motion: as the role matures, lead platform-integration engagements and model fine-tuning / evaluation services for enterprise customers
