About this Role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer with 2+ years of full-time experience to embed directly with our teams and solve real operational problems through production software. Lanart is a 35-year Canadian textile manufacturer that's grown 68% year-over-year, and we need a hands-on engineer who can own projects end-to-end, from ERP implementation on the factory floor to building AI agents and automation tools.

What you need

At least 2 years of full-time software engineering experience with evidence of having personally built and deployed production systemsStrong GitHub activity, 500+ contributions in the last year and an average of 250+ contributions/year over the past 4 years (to demonstrate real coding ability pre-AI era)Comfortable working in-person 5 days/week in Montréal or Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QCHigh autonomy and strong communication skills, you'll be coordinating with non-technical stakeholders and driving projects on your own

What will you be doing?

Leading the implementation of our ERP system, including hands-on work in the factory like mounting scanners, deploying tablets, and designing efficient data capture workflowsBuilding and deploying automation tools and AI agents (e.g., automating order entry, creating agents for operational tasks)Owning full-stack applications, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines connecting ERP, logistics, commerce, and factory systemsWorking directly with factory managers and stakeholders to move projects forward independently with minimal oversightTackling a variety of technical problems across the business, this is a highly autonomous, project-based role where no two weeks look the same

Relocation benefit

We reimburse up to C$10,000 of pre-approved, receipt-backed moving and short-term accommodation expenses for a hire relocating to work in person in Montréal or Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
