What you'll do

Architect and build production AI agent systems that automate complex accounting workflows like month-end close, bookkeeping, tax, and audit processes
Own systems end to end, from prototypes and evaluations through deployment, observability, and iteration with real accountants
Define the boundary between deterministic code, AI-assisted workflows, and fully autonomous agents based on what solves the user's problem
Work directly with founders and CPA-firm operators to observe live workflows, identify gaps in agent context or architecture, and ship improvements
Integrate AI workflows into the product experience so users love working with agents, not just improve headless metrics
Shape product direction through hands-on experience, influencing how UnitedOS evolves around an agentic paradigm

What you need

We need someone with 4+ years of software engineering experience who has built and shipped production AI systems, specifically LLM agents, retrieval pipelines, or document-processing workflows. You should be comfortable working on-site in NYC alongside founders and domain experts, with a track record of taking ambiguous problems from idea to deployed, measurable outcomes in early-stage environments. Bonus points if you have experience in accounting, finance, or other regulated, document-heavy domains.
