About this Role
We are looking for a Founding Engineer / Engineering Lead with 5+ years of experience to own everything technical at a well-capitalized stealth startup building AI agents that navigate government systems on behalf of everyday Americans. You'll be the first engineer, shipping v1 yourself before hiring and leading the team as the company scales, this is a rare chance to define the technical foundation of a generational consumer business.
What will you be doing?
Building AI agents that reliably navigate real government portals end-to-end, handling logins, MFA, session management, and fragile workflows
Shipping the first product into users' hands, turning months of research into working software
Designing trust and security infrastructure for handling government credentials, SSNs, and payment methods
Making all critical technical decisions: stack, tooling, architecture, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs
Hiring and leading engineers #2, 5 as the team grows
