Founding Engineer (US)

We are looking for a Founding Engineer with 1, 3 years of experience to join Prismera as the first dedicated engineering hire and own the frontier of our AI platform for commercial real estate. You'll work directly alongside the CTO and a team of six, building the portfolio research and agentic workflow systems that power how institutional owners manage billions in assets. This is not a maintenance role, our largest enterprise clients are giving us permission to automate everything they can, and we need someone who can take a raw idea from a client conversation and ship it to production. You'll sit next to domain experts and founders in our Flatiron office, with an instant feedback loop and massive ownership from day one.

What will you be doing?

• Own and build the portfolio research and chat interface, the core product feature where clients query their entire portfolio, generate work products, and run multi-step analysis across complex enterprise data.

• Design and ship agentic workflows that automate real estate operations, including structured extraction, tool-calling systems, and multi-step AI pipelines that handle massive scale reliably.

• Build the infrastructure that keeps LLMs production-grade: evals, observability, context construction, structured outputs, failure handling, and monitoring as the platform scales.

• Work directly with clients and internal domain experts to understand real estate operations, identify automation opportunities, and translate them into shipped features end-to-end with no spec or designer.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO to become a domain expert in your area of the platform, eventually owning it independently, hearing a client problem and implementing a fix with the right questions and zero restarts.
