What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end product experience for our contributor platform, from identifying UX problems to designing solutions to shipping them yourself using AI coding tools
- Design user flows and interfaces that help non-technical contributors (stay-at-home parents, part-time workers) understand complex task requirements, driving higher approval rates
- Work closely with the founding team and engineers to translate new client project requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences on the platform
- Build and evolve the design system, reusable components, and visual language across the product
- Use Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to implement and ship your own frontend/UI changes using existing infrastructure
- Rapidly prototype, ship, observe user behavior, and iterate to continuously improve usability and task comprehension
- Raise the overall bar for craft, consistency, and polish, sweating details like loading states, empty states, responsiveness, copy, and edge cases
What you need
- We need a product/UX designer with 1-2 years of experience (or strong internship experience) who has excellent design taste and is comfortable using AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to ship frontend changes directly into production. You should thrive in fast-paced startup environments and have a track record of designing intuitive user experiences for consumer audiences. Bonus points if you've been a founding or solo designer at a YC or seed-stage startup.
