What you'll do

Own product engineering areas end-to-end, from customer discovery and design prototypes to shipping polished, production-grade features that measurably improve user productivity.
Build across the full stack (frontend, backend, and AI) with a strong emphasis on crafting intuitive user experiences that make complex accounting workflows feel simple.
Work directly with founders and accounting teams to identify problems, challenge assumptions, and prioritize what to build next based on real usage and feedback.
Design architecture, data models, and interfaces, deciding where deterministic code, AI workflows, or autonomous agents best serve each problem.
Shape UI/UX flows and interactions, adapting emerging design patterns from the best products to the needs of accounting professionals.
Write concise PRDs, prototype and validate technical feasibility, and own rollout including bug fixes, usability, and performance follow-through.
Experiment with AI tools in development and operations, turning useful approaches into repeatable team practices.

What you need

We need a full-stack engineer with 2+ years of production experience in VC-backed startups who naturally leans toward the frontend, UI/UX, and product experience side of building. You should be comfortable talking directly with customers, shaping user flows for complex workflows, and owning features end-to-end from design prototype to production rollout. Bonus points if you have founder or founding engineer experience, a background spanning both engineering and product management, or vertical B2B AI experience in accounting, fintech, insurance, legal, or compliance.
