What you'll do
- Build Argos, Helicon's custom operating system that orchestrates everything from raw material to finished part, supply chain, quoting, pricing, inventory, and operational flow
- Develop Argos Sim, the simulation layer that post-trains AI models on factory-floor data to accurately predict how composite parts behave in the physical world
- Own factory automation software, ingesting real-time telemetry from manufacturing equipment, orchestrating robotics, and building a 24/7 digital twin of the production line
- Work as an individual contributor alongside hardware and automation engineers with full autonomy to identify what matters most and ship it
- Design backend systems that mirror the physical world, think Palantir-style ontology applied to a composite manufacturing facility scaling to 1M frames per year
- Operate as a product engineer: no ticket queues, no dedicated PM or QA, you figure out what's important, own the problem end-to-end, and ship fast
What you need
- We need a high-agency, full-stack software engineer with 2+ years of production-grade shipping experience (TypeScript frontend, Python or Go backend) who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and has a track record of building end-to-end produxcts. You should be excited about working at the intersection of software and the physical world, helping industrialize advanced composite materials for defense and aerospace. Bonus points if you have experience with manufacturing software, data engineering, CAD, computational geometry, or simulation.
