What you'll do

Lead and coach a team of CNC programmers in Siemens NX CAM (currently two, scaling to five+), setting standards for templates, tool libraries, operations, and program review so every program leaves the desk ready to run unattended
Define the entire programming process from scratch, how we simulate, how we sign off, how we do first runs, and how programs slot into production flow when new orders come in
Build and own the probing stack for lights-out production, including in-process inspection, work offset and tool offset probing, and the macro logic that lets a program correct itself mid-cycle
Program complex aerospace and defense parts in NX yourself, including 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis, and prove them out at the machine
Write, edit, and maintain post processors for our machines and controls so that what NX outputs is exactly what the machine runs
Train programmers and implement rigorous processes around what a proper programming workflow looks like, from simulation and verification to program release standards
Collaborate with the Automation Engineer to align programming standards with tooling, workholding, and pallet strategy, and with software engineers to automate repetitive CAM work
Work closely with the COO to manage the programming pipeline as new orders arrive and ensure work is properly slotted into the team's flow

What you need

We need an expert in Siemens NX CAM with 5+ years of experience, ideally someone who has worked as an NX applications engineer at a reseller, machine tool builder, or large aerospace shop, who can lead our CAD-to-CAM team and build the programming standard from scratch for our automated 5-axis CNC cells. You should be comfortable programming complex aerospace and defense parts yourself (titanium, Inconel, aluminum) and have a track record of training programmers, defining processes, and building probing stacks for lights-out production. Bonus points if you've managed a machine shop or programming team and have hands-on experience with post processors in NX Post Builder or Post Configurator.
