About this Role
We are looking for a Product Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to build 0→1 products at an applied research lab creating the foundational infrastructure to train specialized AI agents. You should be a generalist full-stack engineer who thrives in ambiguity: ideally an ex-founder, founding engineer, or someone with early-stage startup DNA who can move fast, work directly with customers, and ship real products. This is new zero-to-one work building product surfaces that turn Plato's frontier research into usable software for labs, startups, and enterprises.
What will you be doing?
Build 0→1 products from scratch, turning ambiguous customer and research workflows into clear, usable product experiences
Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate messy technical workflows into shipped software
Own full-stack product work across frontend, backend, data models, and internal tooling
Create interfaces for inspecting traces, validating environments, reviewing rollouts, and understanding model behavior
