What you'll do
- Own product discovery and customer development, running user interviews, process discovery, and shaping the roadmap alongside the CTO and CEO
- Work hands-on with UnitedOS (e.g., closing the books on the platform) and turn that operational experience into product insights and roadmap priorities
- Partner with product engineers to define product requirements and with Applied AI engineers to build evals methodology, datasets, and improve AI reliability
- Design and implement small to medium-sized customer-facing features, using coding agents and AI workflows, no engineering degree required
- Analyze production workflows to ensure AI systems deliver performance across month-end close, bookkeeping, tax, and audit processes
- Drive UI/UX design decisions with a strong eye for quality, maintaining the team's exceptionally high bar for product and design excellence
What you need
- We need someone with 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, tax, or consulting who has deep domain expertise and wants to turn that knowledge into lasting products at an AI-native startup. You should be comfortable working directly with customers, translating complex financial workflows into product insights, and owning outcomes from discovery through delivery. Bonus points if you have experience as a firm owner, Chief of Staff, or operating generalist with a deliberate move toward startups.
