About this Role

We are looking for a Residential Rent Regulatory Attorney with 4-5+ years of experience to join the nation's #1 real estate law firm. You'll handle sophisticated NYC residential rent regulatory matters for owners and developers in a collaborative environment that values longevity, professional growth, and work-life balance.

What you need

4-5+ years of experience in NYC residential rent regulatory law (flexible for strong 4-year candidates who check all boxes)
Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
Demonstrated commitment and longevity at prior firms, no job hoppers (average attorney tenure here is ~11 years)
Experience with Rent Stabilization Law, ETPA, and HSTPA
Strong academic credentials and real estate background

What will you be doing?

Handling DHCR proceedings including owner applications, tenant complaints, and administrative appeals
Advising owners and developers on due diligence for acquisition and development projects
Representing clients in connection with assemblage sites, tenant buyouts, building vacates, and demolition projects
Working within the Rent Stabilization Law, ETPA, and HSTPA frameworks
Building your practice and book of business with firm support and origination credit
