About this Role
We are looking for a Senior Debt Finance Attorney at the Partner or Of Counsel level with 10+ years of experience to independently lead and execute bespoke secured lending and private credit transactions. This is a rare opportunity to shape and scale a growing debt practice at a collaborative, impact-focused boutique firm where work-life balance is real,
1,400 billable hour target, ex-Big Law culture, and true autonomy over your practice.
What you need
- 10+ years of debt finance experience at a large or mid-sized law firm (Big Law background required; no more than 1 year in-house)
- Strong technical training in secured lending, asset-based lending, private credit, or direct lending
- Ability to run transactions fully independently with limited supervision, this is not a heavily supported team environment
- J.D. And admission to at least one U.S. State bar (NY preferred)
- Longevity mindset, looking for someone committed to growing with the firm long-term
What will you be doing?
Independently leading secured lending and private credit transactions for lenders, funds, family offices, and development finance institutions
Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements in highly bespoke, non-form-driven deal structures
Collaborating closely with the firm's funds and corporate practice teams on cross-practice matters
Helping shape the long-term strategy, service offering, and growth of the debt practice
Supporting and expanding existing client relationships while building new ones
