What you'll do
- Serve as a "send and delete" attorney, take full ownership of client relationships and matters, instilling confidence in clients and running engagements independently
- Advise digital health, telemedicine, and healthcare technology companies on complex regulatory issues including corporate practice of medicine, telehealth compliance, licensure, fraud & abuse, and health AI
- Act as outside general counsel to Series A/B healthcare technology companies, triaging issues across regulatory, corporate, labor & employment, and compliance matters
- Draft email memos, regulatory analyses, and client advisories on rapidly evolving healthcare and health AI issues
- Collaborate with a close-knit team of ~20 attorneys and mentors (including the firm's co-founders) to deliver sophisticated counsel at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and regulation
- Build and develop your own practice over time, originating client relationships is encouraged and rewarded with uncapped compensation upside
What you need
- We need a healthcare attorney with 10+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law who can step in as a non-equity partner and independently manage client relationships and matters from day one. You should be comfortable serving as outside general counsel to venture-backed digital health and telemedicine companies, and have a track record of owning complex regulatory matters end-to-end with minimal supervision. Bonus points if you have direct experience in digital health, health AI, or managed care.

Goldsand Friedberg is a 20-attorney national healthcare law firm founded in 2019 by two former BigLaw partners. We are the premier boutique in the digital health and telemedicine space, the only practice group that competes with us is BigLaw. Our clients are venture-backed telehealth companies, digital health startups, longevity and wearables companies, and managed care organizations operating nationwide. We have a 1,500-hour billable target (most attorneys work 9, 5/9, 6, no weekends), a 25% base bonus at target, and uncapped upside through origination. Rates are $495, $750/hr. The culture is tight-knit, entrepreneurial, and transparent, we invest heavily in mentorship and practice-building. This is a backfill for a departing partner and there is real work waiting.
