About this Role
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure/Platform Engineer to own and scale the foundation of a high-growth banking platform processing billions in annual card volume. You'll be the person keeping systems reliable, secure, and fast, while building the tooling and infrastructure that enables the rest of engineering to move quickly without breaking things. This is a high-impact role where you'll define the infrastructure roadmap, own critical decisions around performance, observability, security, and deployment, and solve some of the toughest scaling and low-latency problems in fintech.
What you will be doing
Scaling and evolving the Kubernetes (EKS) platform, CockroachDB clusters, Kafka (MSK), Temporal workflows, and ElastiCache Redis through hypergrowth
Building and maintaining abstractions within Terraform and Pulumi to simplify architecture, increase velocity, and push ownership to product teams
Improving the speed and reliability of CI/CD pipelines
Solving Slash's toughest scaling, performance, and low-latency problems across a monolithic deployment serving burst financial traffic
Introducing and scaling best practices with cloud-native technologies like AWS ALB, WAF, Route 53, OpenSearch, S3, and Vercel
