About this Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join a small, high-impact engineering team building the future of AI-powered customer research. Dialogue AI is a seed-stage company backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners that already counts Meta, Google, Wayfair, and TikTok as customers, and recently won all of Google's research business. You'll work full stack across product, AI, and infrastructure, owning projects end-to-end from design through delivery. We need someone who is a strong communicator, product-minded, and hungry to ship fast in a customer-obsessed environment.
What will you be doing?
Own and lead projects end-to-end, from design doc to implementation to customer delivery, across the full stack (frontend, backend, database, and AI)
Wear a product hat alongside engineering: contribute to product decisions, design discussions, and directly communicate with customers about what you're building
Build and iterate on AI-powered features at the application layer, including working with LLMs, running evals, and using AI coding tools daily
Collaborate closely with a founding team of ~6 engineers, a CPO, and a designer in a fast-paced, low-meeting environment with weekly Monday syncs
Help shape engineering culture and technical architecture as the company scales toward a Series A
