Software Engineer - Core Systems (US)

We are looking for a **Software Engineer, Core Systems with 6+ years of experience **to own and evolve the backend infrastructure powering Epsilon Health's radiology-as-a-service platform. You'll be a senior, autonomous engineer who can operate without heavy management on a team of 5, building the ingestion pipelines, data warehouse, and distributed inference systems that underpin our AI copilot. We need someone who has been embedded in strong engineering environments and knows what quality infrastructure looks like at scale. This is a high-impact role at an early-stage company solving a crisis where 200k people die annually from misdiagnosis due to a massive radiologist shortage.

What will you be doing?

• Design, build, and operate the core backend infrastructure end-to-end, spanning data ingestion, warehousing, and distributed model inference on AWS

• Own reliability, observability, debugging, and capacity planning across the stack (there is no separate SRE team)

• Build CI/CD and deployment automation that lets a lean team ship quickly and safely

• Ensure all systems handling PHI are HIPAA-compliant by design, with encryption, access controls, and audit logging

• Collaborate closely with the ML team, supporting ML infrastructure and model inference pipelines as priorities demand
