Software Engineer, Security (US)

We are looking for a **Security Engineer with 4+ years of experience **to join Outtake as the second security hire and take on massive ownership of our cloud infrastructure security posture. You'll work alongside our Senior Security Engineer, Frankel, within the Platform Engineering team to build and scale the security function from the ground up. Outtake is an agentic AI platform backed by $60M from investors like ICONIQ Capital and Satya Nadella, and we're building the trust layer of the modern internet. This is a foundational role where you'll have direct impact on how security scales as the company grows, ideal for someone who thrives with autonomy, moves fast, and wants to shape something from scratch.

What will you be doing?

• Own the security posture of Outtake's cloud infrastructure across AWS, EKS, Vercel, and Supabase, this is heavily infrastructure security focused

• Serve as Frankel's right hand, taking on infrastructure security work to free him from wearing every hat from IT configurations to cloud security

• Design and operate secrets, credential, and access management architecture across all services

• Build detection and response capabilities, including architecting SIEM/SOAR systems for incident response

• Partner with engineering on secure-by-default patterns including IAM, network segmentation, Kubernetes RBAC, and network policies
