About this Role
We are looking for a Tech Transactions Associate with 3, 6 years of dedicated tech transactions experience to join a fast-growing, fully remote law firm that combines legal and back office support for venture-backed startups. You'll work directly with founders across industries - drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements - while helping build scalable processes and using AI to reimagine how legal services are delivered.
What you need
- At least 3, 4 years of dedicated tech transactions experience (not just years post JD)
- Broad industry exposure across multiple clients and sectors - candidates whose experience is concentrated on a single client will not be a fit
- Healthcare experience is a priority - familiarity with BAAs, HIPAA, and selling into regulated environments
- Strong data privacy chops, including hands-on DPA drafting and privacy-related MSA provisions (not just handing off to a separate privacy team)
- Genuine interest in AI tools and building something from the ground up, must demonstrate initiative with AI in their work or personal life
What will you be doing?
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs, BAAs, and other commercial contracts across a diverse client base
Advising startup founders directly on technology transactions, data privacy (including HIPAA), and commercial lifecycle matters
Working within a dedicated client squad alongside ECVC attorneys, paralegals, and back office teams to deliver integrated support
Delegating and project-managing work to paralegals while maintaining quality and building institutional knowledge
Collaborating with engineers and product teams to refine AI-enabled legal workflows and improve how tech transactions work is delivered
