About this Role
We are looking for a Transactional Attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join California's premier HOA law firm and provide high-quality legal counsel to community associations statewide. You'll be joining a firm that is undisputedly the best in its niche, with a partnership track available for the right candidate and mentorship from partners with 35+ years of expertise.
What you need
- 5-7 years of transactional legal experience with strong exposure to corporate governance and/or community association law
- Excellent legal writing skills, a writing sample will be required during the interview process
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision; no hand-holding
- Experience with HOAs, CC&Rs, Davis-Stirling Act, or mixed-use developments strongly preferred
- Active California Bar membership and willingness to follow firm opinions and established legal positions
What will you be doing?
Preparing and negotiating policies, notices, opinion letters, contracts, and general guidance for HOA boards and community managers
Advising on corporate governance, Davis-Stirling Act compliance, CC&Rs, and real estate law matters
Drafting Articles of Incorporation, By-laws, Board Resolutions, Cease and Desist letters, and voting guidelines
Responding to client inquiries within 24 hours and managing a caseload requiring 1,800 billable hours annually
Writing articles for publication and participating in industry marketing/education efforts
