About Turing:
Turing’s mission is to accelerate superintelligence to drive real economic progress. Headquartered in San Francisco, Turing works with frontier AI labs to generate high-quality data, evaluations, and reinforcement learning environments that improve model capabilities in coding, reasoning, tool use, and multimodality. In coding, Turing is the largest and longest-running data provider in the category. Turing also works with Fortune 500 enterprises across Financial Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Retail, Automotive, and CPG to build and deploy end-to-end agentic AI systems inside mission-critical workflows. By operating on both sides, Turing closes the loop between frontier research and enterprise deployment, turning real-world deployment signals into better data, evaluations, and more capable models.
About the role
We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented CUA Data Annotation Trainers to support a high-impact AI training and data annotation initiative. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working on CUA-based projects along with strong exposure to data annotation workflows, quality assurance, and trainer operations. The role involves training annotators, ensuring annotation quality, creating process documentation, troubleshooting workflow issues, and driving operational excellence across annotation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Review annotated data and provide actionable feedback to improve quality. Ensure adherence to project-specific annotation standards and SLAs. Collaborate with QA teams and project managers to resolve edge cases and ambiguities. Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and annotation guidelines. Train and mentor data annotators on CUA project guidelines and workflows. Conduct onboarding sessions and continuous learning programs for new annotators. Monitor annotator performance and conduct periodic quality evaluations. Support pilot runs, calibration exercises, and workflow improvements. Identify process gaps and recommend operational enhancements.
Requirements
Computer with 16GB RAM minimum. Stable high-speed internet connection. Ability to install and run project-related tools/software securely. Access to at least one of the following operating systems: Windows; Linux; or macOS. Strong ability to follow step-by-step written documentation and execute tasks precisely. Comfort with using and navigating a wide range of computer applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data-handling protocols.
Preferred Skills
3–4 years of experience working on CUA projects. Prior experience in data annotation / data labeling projects. Strong understanding of annotation quality metrics and review methodologies. Experience training or mentoring annotation teams preferred. Familiarity with AI/ML data workflows and human-in-the-loop operations. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a software engineer?
Not anymore. Turing built its reputation matching senior engineers with Silicon Valley companies, but they have heavily pivoted into AGI infrastructure. They now hire non-engineering domain experts, technical writers, and researchers for post-training data annotation and RLHF. A strong analytical background and excellent English are required, but you do not need to code.
How does matching work?
Turing calls it the 'Intelligent Talent Cloud.' You build a profile and go through deep vetting — automated tests, an AI-powered interview, and practical skill assessments. Once vetted, Turing's algorithm automatically surfaces you to partner companies (Fortune 500s and top AI labs). You don't browse job boards or bid on work — matches come to you.
How does payment work?
You are hired as an independent contractor, responsible for your own local taxes. Turing collects payment from the client and pays you monthly in USD via Deel, Payoneer, or direct bank/wire transfer. Monthly pay is standard for long-term contract roles — if you need weekly cash flow, this structure requires adjustment.
What does the work actually look like?
It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.
How flexible is the schedule?
Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.
Is there an interview?
Usually, no. Hiring for these roles is almost entirely based on passing an automated assessment or "qualification" task. If you pass the test, you get access to the work.
