What is AI Vibe Check?
AI Vibe Check is a free daily game about AI writing. Every day, Calca and Brina answer the same prompt. Both are AI, and both are trying to sound like a person. Read the two answers and pick the one that sounds more human. Some days neither slips and you can't tell. The middle of the scale is for those.
Spotting how AI writing gives itself away is also the day-to-day work of AI evaluation roles, which is what our job board lists.
How a round works
- Read today's prompt, then press "Show answers".
- Calca and Brina type out their answers. Read both.
- Place your pick on the scale, toward whichever one sounds more human.
- Mark anything that felt off in either answer. Optional.
- Submit, then come back tomorrow for the next one.
A new prompt goes live at midnight, your time. Once you answer, you see how everyone else answered. Missed a day? The last week's prompts stay open under "Earlier prompts".

Am I training AI by playing this?
No, we do not use your responses to train AI. We launched AI Vibe Check as an independent experiment on our site, not affiliated with any AI lab.
How do I know if I picked right?
There is no right or wrong answer. We do give you an option to compare your answer with everyone else's, but ultimately it's your call as everyone's perception of what makes language human is subjective.
Which models write the answers?
We run each prompt through different AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral and xAI. For the purpose of this study, we do not show you which model is which, and both Calca and Brina are assigned to each model at random.
Do I need an account?
You can start playing at any time without an account. If you do have an existing aitrainer.work account you can keep track of your streak and check your play history at any time.
