The role decides which of four interview formats you get
You do not choose the format. The listing you apply to assigns one, and the AI interviewer, usually a female voice avatar, behaves the same way across all four.
1. The resume screen
The task: the interviewer parses your PDF and asks about specific bullet points to confirm your experience.
The pace: fast. If you ramble or pause for long, it moves to the next question.
Preparation: do not read from a script; the interviewer detects reading cadence. Keep a few keywords on a note and speak normally.
2. The tool showcase
The task: you pick a tool relevant to the role (Figma, Salesforce, a code editor) and prepare a short demo in advance.
The screen-reading problem: the interviewer reads your screen with optical character recognition. A dark-mode editor with low contrast or a small font can leave it unable to register your work. Use light mode and zoom to 125% for the interview.
3. The live case study
