Mercor is a San Francisco company that has reported a $10 billion valuation after a $350 million Series C led by Felicis Ventures, with more than $480 million raised in total from investors including Benchmark and Founders Fund. Its founders are Thiel Fellows. Its Trustpilot score was 4.5 at our last check in August 2026; in our September study of unprompted Trustpilot reviews, Mercor's organic reviews averaged 2.1 out of 5, and 16% of its reviews were unprompted. Contractors sign a standard independent contractor agreement and are paid for approved hours.

Instant Offers send work to verified profiles without a new application
Once your profile is verified, hiring managers can browse the Verified Expert pool and send an offer to your inbox. You never apply to that listing.
What triggers an offer: a high interview score, a complete profile and an active account.
What it looks like: an email with the subject line "Instant Offer: [Role]" that states the rate, the scope and a response window of 24 to 48 hours.
How long it lasts: your interview data stays in the matching pool for up to six months, whether or not a given role goes ahead.
