We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find experienced customer support professionals who can help train their latest language model on customer service and support tasks.
We're looking for customer support representatives with 2+ years of experience handling high volumes of inbound requests across chat, email, and phone channels. You know how to de-escalate frustrated customers, communicate policy clearly and empathetically, and resolve issues efficiently without sacrificing quality.
You'll create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated work across core support workflows: ticket response drafting, escalation handling, refund and policy application, FAQ documentation, and customer communication quality assessment.
Compensation: $50/hour
Commitment: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week (up to $1,000/week)
Location: Fully remote — work on your own schedule
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a customer support or customer success role
Strong written communication and ability to handle diverse customer scenarios
Detail-oriented with good judgment on tone, empathy, and resolution quality

AI labs, investment funds, and Fortune 500s pay to access your specific domain knowledge: deal analysis, clinical reasoning, legal logic, financial modeling. Work takes three forms: paid consulting engagements (multi-week), 30–60 minute advisory calls, and targeted research surveys.
Do I need to constantly apply for projects?
No. Once your profile is live, Ethos's AI automatically matches you to inbound opportunities based on your career history. Companies find you — you don't hunt for listings. Your Expert Score rises with each completed engagement, which unlocks higher-value inbound over time. Ethos already works with 25+ private equity firms, hedge funds, and consultancies, so deal flow is real.
When and how do I get paid?
Payment is processed within 30 days of submitting your invoice after a project closes. This net-30 schedule is standard for enterprise expert networks but slower than weekly-paying AI platforms. Plan your cash flow accordingly — this is not a 'get paid Friday' setup.
What does the work actually look like?
It is practical, hands-on data work. You might be recording short videos, categorizing images, rating text responses, or analyzing data. The tasks are designed to be short and distinct—typically 5-60 minutes per task.
How flexible is the schedule?
Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.
Is there an interview?
